Three artworks by Fairbanksan Alfred Skondovitch were recently bought by the State of Alaska Museum of Juneau. Purchased for $1000 was a monoprint titled "Young Girl on a Horse," for $850 was a mixed media piece titled "Seated Figure" and for $1000 was a pastel and acrylic painting titled "The Tanana at Nenana."

Skondovitch said it is unusual for a museum to purchase works of a living artist.
